Body found as gardaí respond to early morning call-out at Limerick house

Officers discovered the body of a man in his late 30s or early 40s at around 5.30am.

A MAN HAS been arrested after a body was found at a house in the Barrack Hill area of Limerick early this morning.

Gardaí responding to a call about an incident at the house discovered the body of a man in his late 30s or early 40s at around 5.30am, according to a statement from the force.

The arrested man, who is aged in his 50s, was detained at the scene.

He’s being held at Roxboro Road Garda station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984.

The body remains at the house, which has been sealed off.

The office of the State Pathologist has been notified, and forensic tests are expected to take place at the scene later today.
