Two men arrested in connection with Limerick stabbing

The arrested men are aged 19 and 20.

TWO MEN HAVE been arrested in connection with a stabbing incident in which a man in his 30s was seriously injured.

The men were arrested this afternoon and are aged 19 and 20.

The man was stabbed multiple times on Ballycummin Road in the Raheen area of Limerick at around 2.30am this morning. It is understood the man sustained a number of facial injuries in the attack.

The victim was taken to University Hospital Limerick. Sources said the assault is believed to be connected to a local feud.

The two men are being detained at Roxboro Road Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to contact Roxboro Road Garda Station on 061 214 340 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
