The Luas Green Line is off again this morning

The entire Green Line is down this morning. It’s the second major problem with the service in the last 24 hours.

THE LUAS GREEN Line is off again this morning. Operators confirmed with a Tweet first thing this morning that services were off due to a power failure.

It’s the second time in 24 hours that there’s been a major problem with the service.

A lightning strike caused a power outage yesterday – and trams weren’t running between Stephen’s Green and Beechwood, a distance of five stops. The outage struck just as rush hour began.

Luas released this statement this morning…

“Luas Tickets are valid on Dublin Bus for the duration of the disruption

“There is no tram service from St Stephen’s Green to Brides Glen.

“Luas tickets are valid on Dublin Bus,there is also an alternative Bus service (Finnegans between Bridesglen and Sandyford due to limited Dublin Bus routes in this area).

“Luas maintenance are working to rectify the power problem.

“Please accept our sincere apologies.”

The Luas Red Line is running as normal today.
