WHAT’S THE STORY?
1. THE Leaving Certificate results are out today so we’ve been recalling all those happy/miserable memories. To make you feel better/worse, here’s a picture of Matthew Kavanagh. He was one of 12 in the country to see only As and 1s on that sheet this morning.
2. IRISH teenage girls will no longer have a magazine just for them as Kiss has announced its current issue will be its last.
3. IN other media news, the Sunday World and The Herald are set to merge with a formal announcement from Independent News and Media due later today.
4. A man has been arrested over the shooting of six-year-old Seán Scully at his house in Ballyfermot in June.
5. REVENUE will be asking homeowners who want to sell their property to justify their initial tax payment if the value of the house has increased.
6. AUTHORITIES are seeking help from the public after this Peregrine Falcon was found shot at Ballynastraw near Enniscorthy in Wexford. The bird’s injuries were so severe it had to be euthanased.
