3. THE OFFICE of the Taoiseach has claimed a ‘clerical error’ following accusations by Sinn Féin that an undisclosed meeting was held between Alan Shatter and Enda Kenny on the Sunday before Martin Callinan resigned.

4. TWO Times of London journalists were lucky to escape Syria for Turkey yesterday after being double-crossed, kidnapped, shot and beaten by their guides as they worked.
