1. IT sounds pretty strong but the government’s GULFSTREAM IV airplane has been put off the runway. The jet has broken down and the (now very busy) Defence Minister has to decide what to do with it.

2. APPLE has said it is investigating the apparent massive celebrity photo hack that could be a very embarrassing and damaging breach for the tech giant. The FBI has also joined the hunt for the hackers who “ripped” private images from its iCloud.

3. SOME sad news emerged from Roscommon this morning, where gardaí confirmed the death of an elderly woman in a multi-car crash. Four others were injured in the incident.


4. AROUND 160 people will lose their jobs at Three mobile company – 85 in its Dublin HQ, and 75 in its retail outlets. And there may be more to come.
