WHAT’S THE STORY?

1. FAST WORK: Just hours after shifting the search area, a New Zealand aircraft spotted objects in the Indian Ocean that may be debris from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight. Earlier, Australian authorities said they were searching the ocean west of Perth after receiving “the most credible lead” in the search so far.

2. BYE NOW: John Waters will no longer be writing columns for the Irish Times.

3. BASITW: Following yesterday’s shocking Prime Time documentary, the director of the National Ambulance Service has stuck by his comments that he is running the “best ambulance service in the world”.

4. DEATH: Last week, a shocking incident saw a father shot in the face after he dropped his child to a Dublin creché. Sadly, the victim died overnight. The gardaí are investigating but no arrests have been made.
