2. THE HIGH COURT has dismissed a woman’s claim for damages over injuries sustained at an Ann Summers lingerie party in a Dublin pub, the Irish Times reports today.

Sylvia Deehan had alleged that she was pushed by another partygoer in an attempt to win a “ring that goes around a certain part of a man”.

3. BRAZIL HAS STOPPED work at Sao Paulo’s World Cup stadium after the death of another construction worker – the third since last November.

4. TWO HOUSING REPORTS, published today, agree that property prices across the country are rising. The average asking price? €144,000.

5. Ireland’s schoolchildren are not great at solving problems, coming in just 22nd out of 44 in a global test. Could you do better though?
