GARDAÍ HAVE MADE an arrest in connection with the murder of John Ustic in Cork earlier this year.

The English national’s body was discovered at a house at High Street in Skibbereen at about 9am on 26 September.

It’s believed that Ustic, who was 51 years old, was involved in an altercation at a nearby car park in the town prior to returning home.

The post-mortem examination revealed that he died of his injuries that resulted from an assault.

This morning, gardaí arrested a 51 year old man in Co Tipperary on foot of their investigation.

He is currently detained at Bandon Garda Station under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
