Man (40s) charged in connection with three-vehicle collision in north Dublin last year

A man aged in his 60s was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on the R129 near Blakes Cross on 31 January 2025.

A MAN HAS been charged in connection with a fatal road traffic collision involving three vehicles in north Dublin last year. 

The incident happened on the R129 at Thomondstown near Blakes Cross shortly before 10am on 31 January 2025.

The male driver of one vehicle, who was aged in his 60s, was pronounced dead at the scene. 

The female occupant of another vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Gardaí arrested a man aged in his 40s this morning in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson this evening said he has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice tomorrow morning. 

“Investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
