A MAN ARRESTED in connection with the murder of 40-year-old Christopher ‘Chrissy’ Burns in Mountnorris, Co Armagh has been charged.
The 39-year-old man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates’ Court tomorrow. As is usual procedure, the charge will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service, a spokesperson for the PSNI said.
Mr Burns, who was originally from Warrenpoint, Co Down, was found dead at an address in Custer Green, Co Armagh on Thursday.
Police received a report at around 11:30am of a “concern for safety”. Police and paramedics attended the property, but Mr Burns was found dead at the scene. He had suffered serious head and facial injuries.
The 39-year-old man was arrested and held in custody.
