Man City leapfrog Arsenal to go top of Premier League table as Burnley relegated

Erling Haaland’s fifth-minute goal was the difference at Turf Moor.

Manchester City 1

MANCHESTER CITY HAVE moved to the top of the Premier League table – on goals scored – after their win at now-relegated Burnley this evening.

Erling Haaland’s fifth-minute goal was the difference at Turf Moor, and the result also condemned the Clarets to the drop.

Pep Guardiola’s side seized control of the title race after beating Arsenal 2-1 on Sunday, and now continue their bid for a fifth title in six years.

Elsewhere in the Premier League this evening, Leeds rescued a last-gasp 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.

More to follow.
