A MAN IN his late teens has died after he was struck by a car on Friday night in Cork.
Gardaí attended the scene at Little Island at approximately 11.50pm. The man, who was a pedestrian, was taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
He was later pronounced dead.
The scene was examined by Forensic Collision investigators. Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to the incident to come forward.
They are particularly interested in any road users who may have footage from the area between 11pm and midnight on Friday night.
