Man held staff at knifepoint in Offaly robbery

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the incident that happened on Church Street.

GARDAÍ IN TULLAMORE, Co Offaly are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at around 9.30 pm last night.

A man entered a premises on Church Street and held staff at knifepoint.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken in the incident and the man made his escape on foot.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Investigations are continuing.
