Man seriously injured in Dublin city stabbing

Two men were injured in a stabbing incident on Capel Street overnight.

GARDAI ARE INVESTIGATING a stabbing incident overnight in which two men were injured.

The assault happened on Capel Street in Dublin city centre at around 1.30am and the two men were brought to hospital with their injuries.

One man is believed to be in a serious condition and is being treated for at the Mater Hospital, the other man is believed to be in a stable condition and is being cared for at St James’s Hospital.

Gardai at Bridewell are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The road remains closed this morning and diversions are in place.
