Man in his 40s shot dead in Lucan, burnt out car found nearby

The attack happened in Earlsfort View at around 7.30pm.

A MAN IN his 40s has died following a gun attack at a house in Lucan, west Dublin this evening.

It happened at the Earlsfort View estate at around 7.30pm, according to gardaí.

The man, who is in his mid-40s, was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

A burnt out car, found nearby in Glen Vale, is believed to have been used to carry out the attack.

The scene of the killing has been sealed off pending forensic tests, and the Office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
