MANY MOONS AGO, the following photo was published in the RTÉ Guide…
It resurfaces every couple of years online, prompting responses like the following (from this Broadsheet post):

Anyway, Marty Whelan dropped by TheJournal.ie for a chat in the last few days.
We emailed around the office for questions in advance – and (wouldn’t you know it) the first five responses mentioned THAT photo.
“Can he finally put the ‘unfortunate trouser crease or something more’ debate to rest?” a colleague asked.
So ask we did.
