IT’S NOT EVEN lunchtime and already a number of babies have been born in maternity hospitals this Christmas Day.

Dublin’s Rotunda Hospital welcomed two babies very close together just after midnight.

Baby Ronan was born at 00.06am to parents Kristin and Colm Concannon. They’re from Kilbarrack. Ronan weighed 7lbs 2oz.

At 00:07am, parents Natalia and Constantin Simciuc from Tyrellstown welcomed their new baby boy.

Baby David weighed 7lbs 3oz.

Baby Tommy was born at the Rotunda at 7:09am today, weighing 8lbs 2oz.

Parents Ruth and Gary Kenna are delighted with their new arrival, who will be coming home with them to Kinsealy.

Elsewhere, at the Coombe hospital, a baby girl was born.

Croía arrived at 00:41am, weighing 7lbs 3oz. Her parents Jodie and Jeremy McMullan will bring her home to Kill, Co Kildare.

At University Maternity Hospital Limerick, Susan Varghese and Joseph Gregory welcomed their new baby Alfie. He was born at 7am, weighing 7lbs 10oz.

They’ll be bringing them home to Caherconlish.

Also in Limerick, mother Yetunde Oju welcomed baby Christal. She was born at 5.12am and weighed 7lbs 10oz. The family is also from Caherconlish.

In Holles Street, Dublin, baby Enzo arrived safely at 3.23am, weighing 7lbs 4oz. He was born to proud parents Sara Quevedo Moreno and Ewan Snow.
