FIFTEEN YEARS AFTER the attack, a man has been arrested in connection with the explosion of a car bomb at Moira police station in county Down.
The 43-year-old was detained in the Moy area this morning and taken to Antrim for questioning.
On 20 February 1998, a 500lb car bomb exploded outside the RUC station, causing extensive damage and injuring 11 people.
Dissident republicans were blamed and it was thought that police officers due a shift change were the targets. The warning was short but they had just enough time to evacuate.
A number of nearby homes needed to be repaired and rebuilt.
