Will you do anything to celebrate Nollaig na mBan?

Historically, 6 January has been a day for women to rest after the busy Christmas period.

TODAY IS THE twelfth and final day of Christmas, known as Little Christmas or Nollaig na mBan.

Originating from a time when women usually did most of the household chores, 6 January is intended to offer a day of rest after the busy festive period.

In recent years, Nollaig na mBan has seen a revival, with women across Ireland choosing to celebrate the day in many different ways – from sea swims to spending time with friends.

Last Saturday, the occasion was marked by Festival Mná, a women’s wellness festival held at Dún Na Sí Amenity and Heritage Park in Co Westmeath.

So, we want to know: Will you do anything to celebrate Nollaig na mBan?
