Teenager due in court over 'smashed' Orange memorial

A number of wreaths were also damaged at an Orange Hall on Friday night.

AN 18-YEAR-OLD man is due before court in Coleraine tomorrow morning charged with criminal damage.

It’s after a memorial stone at an Orange Hall in the town was damaged on Friday night.

It’s understood the stone was smashed, and number of wreaths were damaged at Killowen Orange Hall, on Shuttle Hill in the town.

The youth charged is due to appear at Coleraine Magistrates Court tomorrow morning.

Another teenager — aged 16 — and two women aged 19 and 20 also arrested as part of the investigation have been released, pending a report to the Public Prosecution Service.
