Pedestrian seriously injured after being hit by truck in Limerick city

The injured woman was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment.

A YOUNG WOMAN has been seriously injured after being hit by a truck in Limerick city this afternoon.

Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision on the Corbally Road, which occurred shortly before 12:30pm.

The injured woman, who is aged in her late teens, was brought to University Hospital Limerick for treatment. No other injuries were reported.

The road remains closed at this time as a technical examination is taking place and gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
