THERE’S A MONTH left to enter the Sony World Photography Competition – and to mark the occasion, Sony has released a selection of images that have been submitted so far.
Prizes include $25,000 (around €21,150) for the Photographer of the Year and $5,000 (around €4,200) for the overall Open Competition winner.
There will also be an exhibition held for the winners.
Past shortlisted photographer Simon Butterworth said, “It’s impossible to overstate the importance of this achievement to my career, the global coverage was amazing, in fact, interest in my work as a direct result of the awards continues to this day.”
If you fancy your chances, the deadline for entries is 4 January (it’s also free to enter).
