Poll: Do you have an enemy?

A poll in the UK suggests around one-fifth of people have, or had, a nemesis.

HAVE YOU EVER had a nemesis?

That was a question in a recent YouGov poll of over 8,000 adults in the UK. That poll asked: “Do you now, or have you ever, had someone you consider to be your nemesis (i.e. a long‑standing rival to the extent of being an arch-enemy)?”

6% said they currently have a nemesis, while 17% said they did previously. 65% said they never have.

What about you – do you have an enemy?

They don’t have to necessarily quite reach the level of an arch-nemesis.

And maybe they won’t be an enemy forever – we’re certainly enjoying the fruits of reconciliation this weekend in Dublin as Oasis brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher, who had an infamous feud for years, reunite for their new tour.

So today, we’re asking: Do you have an enemy?

Poll Results:

There are some people I can't stand but I wouldn't call them an enemy (3742)
No, no enemies for me (3002)
Yes, I have several (1436)
Yes, one person in particular (1421)
I used to but we've made up (108)
