Do you remember your Leaving Cert results?

The exams kick off today.

THE LEAVING CERTIFICATE exams kick off today, with over 66,000 students around the country opening their English Paper One at 9.30am.

The exams will run until 23 June, and students will receive their results on 21 August.

Education Minister Hildegarde Naughton said the exams can be both challenging and stressful, but while they are important, “they do not define you or determine a young person’s future on their own”.

While college admissions are largely dependent on how many points people get in their Leaving Cert, many argue that the results don’t determine someone’s future and will be forgotten about in a matter of years.

So today we’re asking: Do you remember your Leaving Cert results?

Poll Results:

Yes (4185)
I have a vague idea (2275)
No (818)
I didn't do the Leaving Cert (667)
