LOCATED ON MAIN Street in Portarlington, Co Laois, Fleetwood offers more than meets the eye.
A terraced house, the four-bed property has a bright and cleverly laid-out interior that spans 1,205 sq ft, plus a large private garden to the rear.
As part of a restoration that took place in recent years, Fleetwood has a new roof and alu-clad sliding sash windows, while the external walls have been insulated. There’s also tasteful contemporary wallpaper throughout the property.
Beyond the updates, the accommodation maintains much of its original charm and character, with tiled floors in the hallway and bathrooms, and ceiling coving and wall paneling throughout.
In the reception room, a stove with a back boiler heats the radiators and makes it the perfect space to unwind on a cold winter night. The kitchen has a classic country-style design, with plenty of both storage and dining space. Off the kitchen is the spacious utility room, which offers further storage options.
Sure to impress anyone who likes to soak in a hot bath after a long day, the ground floor features a large bathroom with a free-standing bath, plus a chandelier, roof light and marble-topped vanity unit. The bedroom on this floor is currently being used as an office. Upstairs, the three remaining double bedrooms each have fitted wardrobes.
To the rear, the garden features a large lawn and patio area, while there’s also off-street parking for up to three cars. A resident permit will allow the new residents to park on Main Street.
Situated in a prime location, multiple amenities are within walking distance of Fleetwood, including a selection of bars, restaurants and shops. Portarlington Leisure Centre and People’s Park are also within close proximity, as well as the banks of the River Barrow.
Portarlington train station is a 20 minute walk away, so your total commute to Dublin will be an hour and a half – or one hour ten minutes by car.
