Man due in court over murder of Latvian national

Another man arrested in connection with the death has been released without charge.

A MAN IN his 30s will appear in court on a murder charge this afternoon. He was arrested at the weekend in connection with the death of 26-year-old Latvian national in Portarlington on Saturday.

Another man also arrested in connection with the death has been released without charge, with a file on his case to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The man ‘s body was found at a house on Spa Street in the Co Laois town at around 5pm on Saturday.

The accused is due to appear at a Tullamore District court at 3.30pm.
