House prices rising around the country
Asking prices for houses outside Dublin have risen sharply with a 10.2% rise over the past year, according to the Daft.ie and MyHome.ie reports published this week. House prices in Dublin have risen by 1.1% by comparison.
Sale of Gresham Hotel to make 2016 a record year for hotel sales
63 hotels were sold in Ireland in 2015 and the sale of the Gresham will help to make 2016 even better for hotel sales. Already, in the first half of this year, 29 hotels worth €136 million have been sold.

The house has two kitchens – a family kitchen and a catering kitchen, because hey, why not – as well as a master bedroom with its own living room. The house was up for sale for $12.9 million (€11.6 million) but failed to sell and is now going up for auction.
