Ralph the dog helps Revenue seize €1.5 million of heroin at Rosslare port

A Dutch national in his 60s has been arrested and is to be taken to Wexford garda station shortly, Revenue said.

REVENUE HAS SEIZED over 10 kilogrammes of heroin with an estimated street value of over €1.5 million at Rosslare Europort today.

Officers from Revenue’s Customs Division were assisted by their sniffer dog Ralph who gave a positive reaction to a vehicle that had disembarked from a ferry arriving from France.

The Mercedes jeep was scanned by the Customs X-Ray Scanner, indicating an anomaly with the drugs found concealed inside the jeep.

A Dutch national in his 60s has been arrested and is to be taken to Wexford garda station shortly, Revenue said.
