Man in his 20s arrested over rape of teenage girl

The girl, believed to be aged 17, was attacked as she was walking in the town in the early hours of 5 July.

A MAN IN his early 20s has been arrested in connection with the rape of a teenage girl in the Cork town of Charleville.

The girl, believed to be aged 17, was attacked as she was walking in the town in the early hours of Sunday 5 July.

The arrested man was detained earlier today, and is being held at Mallow Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
