WHEREVER YOU’RE STANDING in Trim, you won’t be far from a marker of the town’s centuries of history.
Trim Castle, a 12th century structure which featured in the movie Braveheart, sits in the centre of this bustling town. From there, a bridge – Ireland’s oldest bridge, at that – takes you over the River Boyne to the ruins of St Mary’s Abbey, dating back to 1368.
But its heritage isn’t the only thing that makes Trim a stand-out location. With a host of amenities in the town centre, from cafés and supermarkets to sports clubs and parks, it’s an area you’ll soon feel at home in.
The strong sense of community helps, too. “Everyone is so helpful and supportive of each other, so you never have far to go to get advice or find help with anything,” says resident and business owner Antonia Daly.
New to Trim is Riversend @ Effernock, a new development from Glenveagh Homes, located in a picturesque setting on the banks of the River Boyle and just a short stroll from the centre of town.
The latest phase features a selection of four-bedroom homes starting at €405,000. Each home at Riversend is spacious and designed with modern family living in mind.
Downstairs, an open-plan kitchen and dining area opens onto the rear garden, with a separate living room for relaxing or cosying up in front of the TV. Upstairs are all four bedrooms, plus a family bathroom and an en-suite master bathroom.
Features like a thermostatically controlled heating system, uPVC double glazed windows, photovoltaic panels and high quality wall, floor and roof insulation all contribute to the A-rating for energy in these homes.
All homes at Riversend are pre-wired for fibre optic broadband, so all you’ll need to do is choose a provider to get you home-working ready. For city commuters, the drive to Dublin city is around 50 minutes, with a regular bus and private coach schedule too.
Those with growing families can choose from eight schools - five primary and three secondary – in and around the town centre, plus a variety of creche and childcare facilities.
If you’re looking for a family-friendly home in a location that combines community, character and convenience, Riversend @ Effernock could be for you. Register your interest here.
