Gardaí appeal for witnesses to collision that killed 50-year-old father

A man in his 50s was killed in west Dublin after he was struck by a 4×4 last month.

GARDAÍ ARE APPEALING for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision involving a pedestrian and a 4×4 vehicle on a road in west Dublin last month.

A man in his 50s was killed and his 17-year-old daughter was injured after he was struck by a 4×4 on the R120 Newcastle Road (an area known as the 12th Lock) at approximately 9pm Tuesday 17 January 2017.

The driver of the 4×4 was uninjured.

Gardaí in Clondalkin are appealing for anyone who was travelling on the Newcastle Road between 8.30pm and 9.30pm, that may have information in relation to this collision.
