SAMMY THE SEAL is a bit of a celebrity in Wicklow town, regularly seen hopping out of the water at South Quay for a gawk.
But he’s a bother for the folks at the Lighthouse Seafood Restaurant across the road, as he makes a beeline for their store of fish almost every day.
Many tourists and townspeople alike have snapped videos and pictures of Sammy over the three years he’s been in town, but he’s finally achieved global recognition thanks to this video of him actually obtaining a fish from the Lighthouse:
Cheeky.
Sammy’s been featured in the Daily Mail, Metro, Mashable and more, with people speculating that he might be getting a little fat on all those fish.
Enough of that now. He doesn’t need to be getting any more ideas above his station.
