Search for man missing from Co Louth stood down after body discovered

Shane McEvoy was reported missing on 13 March.

GARDAÍ HAVE STOOD down the search for a man missing from Dundalk, Co Louth following the discovery of a body.

Shane McEvoy (38), from Newry in Co Down, was last seen between 9pm and 9.30pm on Friday, 13 March in the vicinity of a Circle K near Junction 20 in Ravensdale, Co Louth.

Gardaí and the PSNI subsequently appealed to the public for assistance in the search after his family became concerned for his well-being.

This afternoon, gardaí confirmed the search has been stood down.
