18-year-old shot in both ankles in laneway

The teenager was shot in the Rodney Parade area of Belfast last night.

POLICE IN WEST Belfast are appealing for information following a shooting incident in the Rodney Parade area last night.

An 18-year-old was taken to a laneway in the area just before midnight and shot in both ankles.

He was rushed to hospital for treatment, but his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

Anyone with any information is being asked to contact Woodbourne Police Station on the PSNI’s non-emergency number ’101′.
