Gardaí confirm body found in Sligo is that of missing man

GARDAÍ HAVE CONFIRMED that a body found in Sligo on Saturday is that of a missing man.

Michael McGowan of Coney Island, Sligo, was last seen on 29 December 2017. He was reported missing the next day.

A body was found at Coney Island on Saturday which was today identified as being that of Michael.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.
