Have you put on sun cream today?

Anyone planning to spend time outdoors should be ‘sun smart’, Met Éireann and the HSE have advised.

THE WARM WEATHER has returned to Ireland, with the highest temperature of the year so far recorded at the Phoenix Park on Sunday at 24.9 degrees.

And it looks set to continue today, with warm conditions, long spells of sunshine and temperatures ranging from 22 to 27 degrees.

Met Éireann has also urged people to be “sun smart”, as UV (ultraviolet radiation) levels are expected to be high across the country.

The forecaster, along with the HSE, is advising anyone spending time outdoors to wear sunscreen and protect their skin and eyes from the sun.

So, today we’re asking: have you put on sun cream today?
