Teenager seriously injured in north Dublin shooting

The incident occurred at St Margaret’s Park in Dublin 11.

A MAN IN his late teens sustained serious injuries after he was shot during an incident in Ballymun this afternoon.

The incident occurred at St Margaret’s Park in Dublin 11. Gardaí and emergency services responded to the incident at around 12:35pm.

The teenager was brought to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.

The scene has been preserved for forensic examination and an incident room has been established at Ballymun Garda Station, with a Senior Investigating Officer appointed.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have footage of it has been asked to contact gardaí.
