Man charged and due before court following Temple Bar assault that left victim critical
The man is due to appear before the District Court in the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.
A MAN IN his twenties has been charged and is due to appear before the courts in connection with a serious assault that happened in Temple Bar, Dublin, on 21 August.
The victim of the assault, a tourist who was visiting Ireland from England is in his 40s, remains in a critical condition in hospital, according to gardaí.
He had to undergo surgery in the wake of the attack, and he is receiving treatment in Beaumont Hospital.
A garda spokesperson said that the man who was arrested “is due to appear before the District Court” at the Criminal Courts of Justice this morning.”
They added that investigations into the incident are ongoing.
