Two men due in court later today over alleged assault of man in Temple Bar

Gardaí identified a man critically injured in the incident after a public appeal.

TWO MEN WHO have been charged in connection with the alleged attack of a man in Temple Bar in Dublin last week are due in court this morning.

The men – aged in their 20s and 30s – were arrested on Friday and are due to appear before Dublin District Court at the Criminal Courts of Justice today after 10.30am.

The critically injured man, whose age is unknown, remains in care at Beaumont Hospital after the incident on Cope Street, Dublin 2, at around 12.30am on Wednesday morning.

Gardaí had released an image of a distinctive tattoo in a bid to identify the man, announcing over the weekend that the man had been successfully identified after a public appeal.
