UK police release video telling tourists what to do in case of hotel terror attack

The video created a video to show tourists what to do if their hotel is targeted.

A NEW VIDEO released by UK terror police has been released advising tourists on what to do if they face an attack whilst on holidays.

The four-minute video, released today, shows a number of scenarios where holidaymakers can become caught up in an attack.

Entitled, ‘Run, Hide, Tell’, the video was released by UK police in association with their Foreign Office and the Association of British Travel Agents.

Detective Chief Superintendent, Scott Wilson, who is the national coordinator for the protect and prepare strategy, told the Press Association: “The chances of being caught up in a terrorist incident are still low but sadly we have seen atrocities take place in the UK and abroad.

“So it is important everyone stays alert and knows what to do if the worst was to happen.

“We want people to think of this in the same way they do the safety film airlines show before take-off.

“They don’t expect anything bad to happen but it is a sensible safety precaution to show people what to do.”

Three Irish people were killed in the attack.

Lorna Carty, a mother-of-one from Meath, and Larry and Martina Hayes from Athlone lost their lives along with 35 others  in 2015 after a lone gunman entered the tourist resort at Port El Kantaoui and killed 38 people – mostly tourists.
