LOCATED BETWEEN CLONSILLA Train Station and St Mary’s Church, The Forge is part of local history.

Dating back to 1901, the cottage was originally a blacksmith’s workshop. Over the past 50 years, the property has been updated and extended to create a charming, character-filled home.

It sits on a triangular-shaped plot of 0.2 acres, with mature shrubbery creating a sense of privacy. There’s lawn areas on all sides, while off street parking is provided to the front and rear.

Stepping inside, The Forge features an inviting, farmhouse-style interior. The living room benefits from a solid fuel stove, solid timber flooring and a large bay window, while a serving hatch opens through to the kitchen and dining room.

In here, tiled floors and wooden beams give a country-feel. A breakfast bar and archway separate the dining room from the kitchen, which is fitted with floor and eye level pine units. Sliding doors open from the dining area to the rear garden.

At the other end of the hallway is a small study, which would make for an ideal home workspace or reading nook. A staircase leads from here to the attic, where two Velux windows allow for ample natural light and open the space to a variety of uses.

There are three double bedrooms at The Forge, with fitted wardrobes and overhead shelving in the master bedroom. Each bedroom is in good shape, but could benefit from a touch of modernisation.
