Gardaí appeal for witnesses after man (20s) dies in single vehicle crash in Tipperary

The road remains closed this morning pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.

GARDAÍ HAVE APPEALED for witnesses following a fatal car crash In Tipperary in which a man in his 20s was killed.

Gardaí and emergency services attendeed the scene of a single vehicle crash that occurred on the N24 at Cordangan Cross, near Tipperary Town, at about 9:45pm last night.

A man in his 20s, the driver and sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.

His body was removed to Waterford University Hospital where a post-mortem examination is due to take place.

The road remains closed this morning pending a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators. Local diversions are in place.

Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact them.

Any road users, who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were traveling in the area around Tipperary town and the Bansha Road between 9pm and 10pm are asked to make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.

In particular, gardaí are interested in potential sightings of a 2005-registered grey Toyota Yaris during this period.
