POLICE IN BOSTON have released computer-generated images of a four-year-old girl found dead in a plastic bag in the city’s harbour last week.
The girl, who is estimated to be around three or four, washed up on Deer Island, across the bay from Logan International Airport on 25 June.
Massachusetts State Police and the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office, along with local police, appealed for help in identifying the girl. They also released pictures of the blanket and leggings that were found with the child.
They said:
Today, we are releasing a computer-generated composite image of the girl prepared by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. This image depicts what the child may have looked like in life.
“The girl was approximately four years old at the time of her death, had brown eyes and brown hair, weighed about 30 pounds, and stood about 3½ feet tall.”
They asked people to be vigilant around gatherings and to take notice of whether children who they would have seen who may not be with their parents over the 4 July weekend.
