THE WEEKEND IS kicking off – but what should you watch?
We’ve taken a look through what’s on offer and picked out series and movies that you can check out over the next three days on streaming and the telly.
Deadloch
Season two of this Australian series reached our screens this week. Set in the sweltering Northern Territory, this focuses on Detectives Dulcie Collins (Kate Box) and Eddie Redcliffe (Madeleine Sami) who are investigating the death of Eddie’s former policing partner Bushy. But their plans are diverted when a body part is discovered in a remote town called Barra Creek. As the humidity builds, more questions about this small town arise.

Leonard and Hungry Paul
If you missed this on Channel 4, now’s your chance to catch this lovely series. It’s an adaptation of Irish author Rónán Hession’s debut novel, which is about two board-gaming friends in their thirties: Leonard, a ghost writer of children’s encyclopedias, and Hungry Paul, a part-time postal worker. They live a life of quiet routines, but some new changes start to open up their worlds.
Airing Sunday at 10.30pm on RTÉ One.
The Money List
If you’re looking for a quiz show to get stuck into, try the Money List, presented by Baz Ashmawy. It’s back on Sunday for its second season. In the Money List, two teams of strangers compete for a huge cash prize by completing a series of lists.

Celebrity Sabotage
Remember the days when hidden camera shows were the height of reality TV? This series has an interesting premise – unsuspecting members of the public believe they are taking part in a new ITV entertainment reality game. But what they don’t know is that four celebrities are watching their every move and secretly sabotaging the challenges. In this first episode, business expert Sara Davies hosts fake business competition The Applicant. The saboteurs are Joel Dommett, Judi Love, Sam Thompson and GK Barry.

Imperfect Women
Crime fans – here’s a new series for you. Imperfect Women is about a crime that shatters the lives of three women in a decades-long friendship. It’s described as an “unconventional thriller” that explores guilt and retribution, love and betrayal, and how close friendships might not be exactly what they seem. Stars Elizabeth Moss, Kate Mara and Kerry Washington.
