SUMMER HAS BEEN taking a brief hiatus today for much of the country – a band of heavy rain has been making its way across northern and eastern regions since this morning, and another is set to move in from the west this evening.
However, it’s not all bad news from Met Éireann. It looks like we can put the umbrellas away again tomorrow, while the outlook for the weekend is for temperatures of up to 20 degrees!
From Friday, temperatures “will be in the high teens or low twenties and may creep higher in some places, after Saturday,” the weather service says. There’s also a likelihood of some thundery showers in places late in the weekend as the conditions heat up.
It’ll be dry and warm with some moderate winds tomorrow, with cooler conditions forecast for Thursday.
