ACTOR RIZ AHMED spent 10 years working on Bait, his new Prime Video series about an actor who is in the running to play James Bond.

The series takes a dark, humorous look at what it’s like to be a Pakistani Londoner in the acting business, with the lead character Shah played by Ahmed himself.

In our Best of the Box review we said:

Bait is less about the big question it appears to be about – could a Muslim actor be hired to play James Bond – than about the pressures on Shah across career and family, and his inability to balance it all.
