POLICE IN ST LOUIS, Missouri have released a clip from a surveillance video which captures the moments before teenager Antonio Martin was shot dead by an officer last night.

The surveillance video is taken from the Mobil Gas Station in the St Louis suburb of Berkeley where Martin was shot dead late on Tuesday night.

St Louis Police released the video prior to a press conference earlier where it was confirmed that the victim, a black male, was shot three times by the police officer.

Police said that the victim raised a gun at the officer prior to shots being fired. Police confirmed the victim did not fire any shots and a handgun was recovered at the scene.

Police said the 18-year-old victim was “known to law enforcement”.
