Britney Spears expresses sympathies over fan's tragic fairground fall

The death of 31-year-old Siobhán Healy is now believed to have been a tragic accident.

BRITNEY SPEARS HAS said she is “saddened” by the death of a fan who fell from a fairground ride after attending the singer’s concert at the O2 in Dublin.

The pop star wrote on Twitter that her “heart goes out to the family” of a 31-year-old woman killed on Monday evening, widely named as Siobhán Healy, who had been riding one of a number of attractions set up outside the concert venue.

It’s understood that the incident is being treated as a tragic accident. Gardaí carried out forensic examination of the scene, which was sealed off on Monday night and through Tuesday.

Siobhán’s mother Doreen has told the Evening Herald that she was “very proud” of her daughter, adding that Siobhán has been “really looking forward to the concert”.

Gardaí issued a witness appeal in the wake of the death, including a specific request for a man believed to have been filming the ride on his mobile phone to come forward.
