Video emerges of arrest of man found guilty of stabbing Irish woman to death

Christopher Cullen was convicted earlier this week.

A VIDEO HAS emerged of the arrest of a man found guilty of stabbing Irishwoman Victoria Comrie Cullen to death.

Christopher Cullen was found guilty by a court in Sydney earlier this week for the 2014 murder of his estranged wife.

The mother-of-three was found dead, slumped in a praying position, in a car park in Sydney in January of last year. Her killer, who is originally from the UK, was found hiding in mangroves nearby and had seven stab wounds. Some are understood to have been established as self-inflicted.

A video shot by police shows him being questioned by officers just moments after he killed her.

His face and eyes are puffed up as his punctured lung is forcing air up to his face.

Police ask him if he understands that he has been arrested for murder and they ask him what happened.

“We had a row,” he answers before being pushed for more information.

“Don’t know lost control,” he says

“We went to court today regarding civil matter and we were talking and she started taunting about my sex and I lost control and we had a fight. That’s it.”

Lawyers for the prosecution had told the trial that Cullen went to the home of his 39-year-old wife after they’d been in court earlier that morning over alleged damage to his car.

A witness testified that they heard a woman screaming, “Where are you taking me?”, followed by a reply from a man, saying: “Just wait in the car”.

The court also heard that Cullen had been violent to his wife in the past.

He was convicted of killing her on Tuesday and will be sentenced next week.
